Choirs – Children & Adult

Children, ages 6 to 10 who love to sing are invited to join our non-audition choir.  Learning songs, singing technique, 2-part harmonies & rounds, and music theory are incorporated into the classes.

Instructor Anna Lowan loves working with children and she brings her love of singing to the choir.  There will be a recital performance at the end of the winter term and spring term.

Winter/Spring Term:

TIME: Thursdays 4:30 to 5:00 pm
COST: $180 Fall Term (Sept 7 to Dec 21/17)  Fees can be paid monthly, $45/month by post-dated cheque.

Everyone loves to sing. Women who want to sing for fun are invited to join this group to get together and sing eclectic and engaging repertoire. You will also learn the basics of music theory, (note reading and rhythm), singing two- and three-part harmonies and more.

Instructor Lloyd English has directed choirs, played professionally and taught music for many years. His enthusiasm for singing will inspire you in this weekly class.

Anna Headshot 80x80bwWith a background in dance, acting, musical theatre and classical music, Anna holds a Bachelors in Opera from the University of British Columbia and a Masters in Voice Performance from the University of Victoria.

As a performer, Anna works to find herself within the music she sings and she truly believes that if you love music, you can find a way to reach that voice inside you. As a teacher, she loves to help her students find that voice, and feel the thrill of standing up and sharing it with the world.

Lloyd English 80x80Lloyd English has been a professional performer, teacher, songwriter, choir director and producer for many years and has worked and studied with some of the most well known artists in the Canadian music industry. He has performed in stadiums, concert halls, city club venues, lounges, hotels and everything in between. His music has been played all over the world on Major Television and Radio Networks. 

Lloyd has taught music and directed community choirs, church choirs, and children’s choirs in Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria, Salt Spring Island, and Pender Island.
