Andrew Greenwood

Clarinet | Flute | Piano | Saxophone

Andrew Greenwood is a performer, composer, and educator.  He has music degrees from the University of Victoria where he studied classical music, and Humber College where he studied jazz.  Some of his teachers have included Pat Labarbera, Mark Promane, Alex Dean, and Wendel Clanton.

Andrew regularly performs in various musical genres including jazz, reggae, funk, hip hop, and rock.  He currently plays with Travel Light, David Vest, Downtown Mischief, The Wrong Folks, Smooth Tactics, the Victoria Jazz Orchestra, and the Andrew Greenwood Quintet.

 

 

Teaching Philosophy

Andrew believes that students should be taught in an enjoyable and encouraging way.  He also feels that it is important to help students discover music that interests them and motivates them to practice.
