Evan Cheadle Bio

Evan began playing and singing in his early teens and during his developmental years directed his creative energies toward a wide range of classic North American folk music as well as popular music of the 60’s and 70’s era. This love of classic folk and blues and poetic song form led him to becoming a member of the multi Juno award winning folk rock band The Deep Dark Woods. This collaboration resulted in extensive touring and concert halls throughout Canada, the United States and Europe as well as a number of studio recordings. Evan has also performed and recorded regularly as a solo artist and continues to remain active as a vocalist and guitarist and performer.

Evan has studied with Lloyd English and has taken part in the Port Townsend Acoustic Blues Festival on a number of occasions. He has had the opportunity to study with some of the most renowned players in the folk blues genre including Robert Belfour, Steve James, Alvin Hart and many others.
