Rates and Fees

Private Lessons

Lesson school term runs from September to June, but you can start any time during the year. Lessons are on a weekly basis, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.  Payments are calculated for the year and divided into equal monthly payments.  Lesson rates vary, call for details.

Group Classes

Group class fees are listed on the Classes Page.

NOTE: Classes must have minimum number of students to commence. Any classes cancelled will be refunded or credited toward another class or private lessons.  Check our website “Classes” pages for dates and times. New classes will be posted throughout the year.

Shared Lessons

A great option for the student wanting an economical and motivational solution for their private music education. Lesson times may be shared by two students at one time. This arrangement must be pre-approved by the teacher and depends on the ages and compatibility of the students.  Lesson fee rates depend on lesson length, 30 min, 45 min, 60 min.  Please call for rates.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable yearly registration fee of 25.00 per family is due at time of registration for all private lessons.

Lesson Reservation Deposit

Any student wishing to reserve a lesson time will pay a deposit of $100. The deposit is credited directly to the lesson fees.

Theory, Harmony, History Classes

$240  60-minute class 16 weeks (minimum 3 students per class)

Summer Lessons July-August

$165 30-minute private lesson 6 weeks

Payment Options

Full year (September to June) Payable in September
Monthly installments Divides the total yearly fees into equal monthly payments
Three installments Divides the total yearly fees into three payments
  • Payments can be made by debit, VISA or MasterCard, cash, cheque or e-transfer
  • Monthly installments must be made by credit card or post-dated cheques
  • CHEQUES SHOULD BE PAYABLE TO P.A.M.A.
  • All monthly payments other than post-dated cheques will include $3 admin fee
  • Registration is complete once lesson fees have been paid or payment arrangements are made.
  • Additional Charges:
$25 fee for all NSF cheques
$20 late fee for payments not received by the due date

Home School & Private Funding

South Island Distance Education and many school districts and private schools offer funding for private lessons.  Contact your school counsellor for information on applying for funding.  Once approved, we will directly invoice your school.
