Brittany completed a diploma in Music Performance at the Victoria Conservatory, studying privately with the renowned Daniel Lapp. She is now working towards a Bachelors of Music, in Jazz Violin, at Humber College.
Brittany teaches in a number of styles including classical, fiddle and jazz. She has taught private and group lessons at many camps and workshops throughout BC including the “BC Fiddle ‘Treat” at Gavin Lake, the “Prince George Jamboree”, and the Bella Coola Music Festival “Songs and Strings Workshop”.
She currently lives in Toronto and collaborates with Ollie DelMastro, a folk and roots performer, Tidal Wave, a 7-piece post rock band, as well as playing Irish Music all around the city.
As a classically trained violinist Brittany understands the importance of creating beautiful tone with accurate intonation while cultivating the ability to read and speak the musical language. She also understands that playing Old Time Fiddle or Celtic styles can be a great way to let loose, improve rhythm and develop the ability to play by ear and just have fun. Her goal is to open the door to the world of music so that her students will play throughout their lives.
Brittany currently teaches online on Wednesdays.
